Carnival passengers have received a $100 credit after the 'Carnival Firenze' was delayed in port due to technical issues. The ship, originally scheduled to leave the port of Long Beach on Dec 15, faced an unexpected delay because of a technical problem that kept it in port until Dec 16 at 1:20 p.m., when it finally sailed, destined to Los Cabos with an ETA as of Dec 18. While this caused a missed port of call, the Carnival Cruise Line compensated the passengers with a $100 credit and other perks. The delay was caused by a technical problem on the ship, involving the Carnival Hub app, which was not working, leading the crew to take food and drink orders manually using pens and paper. The Carnival Hub app, an essential tool for guests, experienced connectivity problems that delayed operations. The problem was related to internet connectivity.

A technology glitch appears to have caused a major, overnight departure delay of the 'Carnival Firenze', sailing roundtrip from Long Beach, California, which was due to leave port on Dec 15, 2025, but was forced to remain in port due to a connectivity problem. The ship was scheduled to depart at 3 p.m. The issue, however, forced the ship to stay in port overnight, and it only sailed on Dec 16. An announcement made onboard the ship the afternoon of Dec 15 acknowledged there was a problem that could delay the departure. The 'Carnival Firenze' was scheduled to arrive in Cabo San Lucas on Dec 17 and then continue to Ensenada with an ETA as of Dec 20, before returning to Long Beach on Dec 21. The guests were told that if the ship was ready to depart later than expected on Dec 15, it would swap port calls, visiting Ensenada on Dec 16, 2025, followed by Cabo San Lucas on Dec 18 and 19.

On Dec 11, 2023, the SAR boat 'Salvamar Denébola' carried out the medical evacuation of a passenger, whoi had fallen ill, from the 'Costa Firenze', en route from Valencia to Arrecife with an ETA as of Dec 13, eight nautical miles east of Gibraltar. The patiemt was taken to the port of El Saladillo, where an ambulance was waiting for the further transport to a hospital for medical care on a higher level.

The National Search and Rescue Centre in Abu Dhabi medevaced a passenger in his 70s from the 'Costa Firenze' near Zirku Island after reports on his ailing condition early on Jan 19, 2022. The centre received a report from the captain of the ship about the man’s condition. An aircraft was dispatched to the scene to hoist the patient and transfer the man from the ship to the Al Ruwais Hospital. On Aug 21, 2021, the SAR boat 'CP 894' was tasked to assist a 76-year-old Italian passenger of the 'Costa Firene' whoc had been injured in a fall on board while the ship was sailing off the Sardinian coast. He had suffered multiple fractures in the shoulder and one arm. The patrol boat with medical staff on board headed towards the cruise ship which had left Cagliari destined to Savona, but had reversed to meet the patrol boat - the man was transferred to the patrol boat about 15 miles east of Capo Figari. After the first medical treatment, the man was medevaced and taken to the port of Golfo Aranci, where an ambulance immediately transported him to the hospital in Olbia.
