Engine failure in Dardanelles Strait
On Nov 16, 2024, the 'Capt Nature', en route from Tang Shan in loaden condition, suffered an engine failure off the Gallipoli coast near Genibolu during the transit of the Dardanelles Strait, which was timewise barred for other ship traffic. The tugs 'Kurtarma 3', 'Kurtarma 4' and 'Kurtarma 13' were tasked to assist and took the ship in tow.
