Power Plant facility heavily damaged in allision

The 'Flecha', carrying a cargo of coal from Vanino, allided with the pier of the Yeongheung Power Plant, Incheon, on April 21, 2022. The ship suffered a breach of four meters length above the waterline. The Power Plant Coal Terminal suffered serious damages with the coal conveyer being damaged as well as fenders. Several months of repairs were estimated to be required to make the pier operable again. The Master of the ship and the Pilot were believed to be the main culprits of zj accident, being accudsed of reckless ship’s control and excessive speed. The ship remained berthed in port until May 7 for repairs and surveys and sailed at 8 a.m., next headed to Taboneo with an ETA as of May 16.
