The 'Cape Celtic' was detained at the port of Caofeidian on March 22, 2026, by inspectors of the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding. During the initial inspection, six deficiencies were found, two of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention, and requiring urgent corrective action across safety and structural systems.
