Directorate of Shipping Services working to remedy technical faults
The Directorate of Shipping Services was trying hard to get the 'Campbell Bay, into service', rectifying all faults of the vessel and conducting trials in Port Blair. The ferry had several dozens of technical faults, and a number of crew members were injured in two different accidents recently. It was meanwhole also critiziesed that cargo to remote Islands like Campbell Bay and Nancowry Groups, one of the biggest challenges, could not be transported on the passenger only ferry.
