Georgia’s Coastguard has temporarily detained the'Caminero', enroute from Kulevi to Constanta with an ETA as of Jan 11, 2026, in the country’s territorial waters, citing a violation of navigation rules. After the ship’s captain was fined, the vessel was allowed to continue its voyage. Until late 2022, the 'Caminero' had sailed under the Russian flag. The vessel later re-registered in Panama amid Western sanctions targeting Russia’s seaborne oil exports. The Georgian authorities stressed that the detention was not related to sanctions enforcement, as the inspection was conducted strictly for technical and navigational compliance. Once the formalities were completed and the fine issued, no further restrictions were imposed.

On May 18, 2015 Palmaly Group took delivery of 7,100 DWT tanker Begim Aslanova, ninth Volga-Don Max tanker of mixed 'river-sea' navigation (project RST22M, hull No 079), the series projector Marine Engineering Bureau says. The tanker was laid down on November 18, 2013, and launched in Turkey on November 14, 2014.
