Ferry service interrupted due to technical failure
The service between Anda and Lote was suspended on March 27, 2017, due to technical problems with the "Årdal", causing queues on the ferry wharf at Lote. The ship had suffered a failure of one of the ramps at 1.30 a.m. and was sent for repair to the Bolsønes shipyard in Lote. Also the spare ferry had a technical problem, and the reserve ferry "Gulen" from Sogn would take several hours to arrive. Ferry docked with engine trouble
The ferry "Årdal" had to be docked for repairs in Maloy after there was trouble with the engine of the ship serving the Anda - Lote route on Nov 25, 2016. If the problems with the "Årdal" could not be sorted out soon, the operator Fjord1 would have to insert a replacement ferry.
Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
On Nov 2, 2016, the "Årdal" suffered a technical problem and had to be withdrawn from the Lote - Anda route at 7.30 p.m. The ferry was sidelined in Lote. At 8.30 informed operator Fjord1 that the ferry "Sognefjord" was on its way and will soon take over the traffic on the route.
