Fire in Valletta
On Dec 26, 2019, a fire broke out in the engine room of the 'Budafell' which was berthed at the Bridge Wharf in the port of Valletta, Malta. Thick smoke plumes emerged from inside and drifted over neighbouring ships. The engine room personnel, however, manged to soon extinguish the blaze. The ship had been in port already since July 31.
