AFRICAN VISION 9463504
In the afternoon of Jan 23, 2011, the "Rem Fortune“ allided with one of the legs of the offshore platform 2/4J, thereby damaging rescue boats aboard the rig which had a crew of 444 at that time. The ship was delivering goods to the rigs. Obviously the transmission of data of the dynamic position system failed, which controls the bow thrusters via GPS-data. The „Rem Fortune“ on Jan 24 berthed at Tananger for investigations around 12 a.m. She had suffered damages to the antenna mast which was removed at Rosenberg yard for repairs.
