Tanker detained after oil spill
The 'Stavanger' spilled more than eight tonnes of palm oil the port waters of Yuzhnyy on April 30, 2020. The State Environmental Inspectorate investigated the discharge of palm oil from the vessel. According to the Administration of the Ukrainian seaports, 8,437 kg of pollutants spilled into the water and the amount of damage was US$ 2,416,557. The vessel has been detained until the owner has indemnified the damage.
