Medevac off Bermuda
A sick crew member of the 'Botafogo' which was enroute from Gibraltar to Houston was brought to Bermuda due to a suspected appendicitis. The RCC Bermuda received an email from the tanker informing about the case. The ETA to Bermuda was not until Feb 15, 2020, in the afternoon. The RCC Bermuda liaised with RCC Norfolk and it was considered acceptable for the vessel to proceed to Bermuda, and the patient was transferred by a pilot boat to an ambulance at Ordnance Island at 3 p.m.
