Tanker saved 29 migrants, four died, one missing
On Oct 29, 2019, at 4 p.m. the 'Bluebird' entered the La Luz port in Las Palmas after having recovered 29 distressed migrants from Senegal 330 miles south of the island. Four more people had died before, one was missing. Four of the survivors were taken to hospital for dehydration. Robbers stole ship stores
The "Bluebird", while at the Merak anchorage, was boarded by robbers unnoticed on OCt 31, 2018, at 7 p.m. They stole engine spares and escaped in position 05 53 20S, 105 59 70E. The theft was noticed during the next routine rounds when the duty crew noticed the store room door was open and engine spares were missing.
