Bulkcarrier destroyed railway bridge
The 'Bluebill' allided with the Chagres River railway bridge over the Panama Canal on June 23, 2020, at 5.40 p.m. The ship was transiting Canal from the Pacific towards the Atlantic, coming from Balboa. The bridge was severely damaged. Train traffic was interrupted for 16 days. The ship dropped anchor in pos. 09° 6.71' N 079° 42.26' W.
