Allision in Gildeskål
On the evening of Feb 12, 2026, the 'Støtt', which operates on the Sund-Horsdal-Sørarnøy route, allided with the ferry 'Meløytind' (IMO: 7434676), that was moored at the quay in Gildeskål in Nordland, enroute from Sund. Whule maneuvering to the Horsdal quay, the ship veered off course before it hit the ferry, which was laid up as a reserve ferry at the quay and was pushed away by the impact. Some minor damage occurred to the bow visor of the 'Støtt', which was removed from the route for inspections. The Norwegian Maritime Authority was notified of the incident by the shipping company, and the office in Bodø followed up with an inspection of both vessels.
