Tug disabled off Ocracoke
The crews of the Coast Guard Cutter "Block Island" and the 225-foot sea-going buoy tender "Elm" responded to the "Beth McAllister" which was disabled 23 nautical miles southeast of Ocracoke, North Carolina, on Nov. 5, 2011. The tow was passed from the "Block Island" to the "Elm" and later transferred to the tug "Colleen McAllister", which moored the "Beth McAllister" in Morehead City, N.C.
