Steering system damage in Bari
The 'AF Marina', en route to the port of Durrës, suffered a fault in the steering system upon the departure from the port of Bari on Nov 10, 2023. Passengers felt a crash. Ferry sank fishing boat
THe 'AF Marina', en route from Durres o Bari, was in collision with the fishing boat 'Eltoni I' , about four nautical miles from Durres port on May 9, 2023, at around midnight. The fishing boat sank, but sits crew could be rescued and was safe. The local authorities were investigating the incident.
Ferry towed to Ancona after blackout
The "AF Marina" with 527 passengers on board suffered a total blackout in the night on July 18, 2015, shortly after leaving the ASE Terminal in Ancona bound for Durres at 7.10 p.m. The ferry was towed back to Ancona by tugs of the Società CO.RIM.A. and berthed on July 19 at 6 a.m. The passengers and vehicles had to shift to other vessels serving the port of Durres. Technicians were sent to restore power on the ferry.
