Ferry allision in Ischia
On Feb 23, 2019, the ferry "Don Peppino" which had left the port of Pozzouli bound to Ischia at 07.15 a.m. was caught by strong north-northeast wind upon its port entry at 8.30 a.m. and bumped against the bow of the "Benito Buono". The "Don Peppino" was forced to return to Pozzuoli, with all passengers still on board. The ferry suffered slight damage, but there were no injuries.
