Medevac off Kalamata
The Port Authority of Kalamata was informed in the evening of Dec 8, 2021, that a 62-year-old crew member of the 'Nordic Passat', which was 90 nautical miles southwest of the port of Kalamata, en route from Aliaga to Augusta, needed immediate hospital treatment. The tanker sailed to the anchorage of the port, where the patient was transferred to the a Greek patrol boat. He was then transported safely to the port of Kalamata, where he was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the General Hospital of Messinia for medical treatment.
