Ship damaged in attack
The LCT 'Ayeh' has been hit by an explosive shrapnel near Zirku Island, close to an ADNOC oil terminal on Feb 28, 2026. The vessel, owned by the Khalid Faraj Shipping, was damaged on its deck during operations in the area. According to preliminary information, one Indian Able Seaman (AB) has died in the incident. However, the identity of the deceased and official confirmation from the relevant authorities were still awaited. Shrapnel marks were observed on the vessel’s deck.
