The attempt to get the 'Torvind' underway again failed on Jan 22. The ship suffered propulsion trouble again in the Hessa Fjord and was towed to Ålesund by the patrol vessel 'Njord' of the Norwegian Coastguard. The 'Torvind' was berthed at Frydenbø in Ålesund as of Feb 18 for permanrnt repairs of the main engine. The Norwegian Coastal Administration, has taken custody of the"Torvind" on Feb 22, based on expenses related to towing the vessel, The ship was owing both wages and taxes in an amount of almost 400000 Norwegian Crowns and was not allowed to sail further from Ålesund. On Jan 3, 2026, the' Torvind' was assisted by a pilot out of the Frei Fjord. The ship resumed its voyage to Piraeus with an ETA as of Jan 30. Already on Jan 4, it had to contact the Norwegian Coast Guard again due to more engine trouble just outside Hareid on Sunnmør. The patrol vessel "Bison" assisted it to the Valderhaug Fjord, where it arrived just north of Ålesund city center on the afternoon and moored in pos. 62° 29' N 006° 07 E, where it remained stationary as of Jan 6. The 'Torvind', enroute to Piraeus with seven crew members on board, suffered an engine blackout in bad weather at Grip near Kristiansund off Hustadvika on the night of Dec 23, shortly before midnight. The ship initially suffered rudder trouble and was in danger of running aground, after the engine failed. The fire department's operations center and emergency manager were informed, and the lifeboat 'Hans Herman Horn' was mobilised. The crew of the 'Torvind' was prepared to drop anchor, and there were a few attempts to throw the towline before they got it. The 'Hans Herman Horn' then assisted the 'Torvind' amid stiff and strong southwesterly gale and heavy seas. The tug "Waterlord" (IMO: 7522150), the MRCC and a rescue helicopter also assisted in the operation. On Dec 25 shortly after 01:00 a.m., the ships were on their way back to Kristiansund in a group. At 02:50 a.m., the "Torvind" was towed south between Averøy and Kristiansund by the "Waterlord" to an anchorage in the Bremsnes Fjord, where it moored near Sunndalsøra in pos. 63° 01' N 007° 49' E and remained stationary as of Dec 26.

The "Torvind" was detained in Visnes on Nov 27, 2025, with 25 deficiencies, isx of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Certificate & Doc - Continuous synopsis record Entries missing 2) Safety of navigation - Charts Not updated 3) Safety of navigation - Lights, shapes and sound-signals Inoperative 4) Alarms - Fire alarm Missing 5) Fire safety - Division - decks, bulkheads and penetrations Not as required 6) Labour conditions - Cleanliness of engine room Not as required The vessel was released again on Dec 15 and remained stationary in Ørjavika as of Dec 18. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063576908591
