Ferry hit feed hose of fish farm
The 'Hollendaren' had to interrupt its sailing from Havøysund to Måsøy after it hit a feed hose from a fish farm with its propeller on Rolvsøya on Jan 6, 2026, at 7 a.m. during the unmooring manoever. The ferry had to turn around and returned to Havøysund under its own power, but with reduced engine power. The ferry service was suspended, shipping company is now waiting for divers or a ROV to examine the damage. It was unclear whether there was damage to the propeller, or whether there was something left of the hose. All departures on the express boat route 350 MåsøyXpressen were therefore cancelled until the propeller has been examined.
