On the early morning of Feb 15, the ' Razouk' starred to drag anchor off Kısırkaya in stormy weather and isssued a distress call. The tugs 'Kurtarma 6' (IMO: 9463176) and 'Nazım Tur' (IMO: 9513086),as well as the lifeboat 'Kıyı Emniyeti 9' (MMSI: 271010037) attended. They tried to get it re-anchored. After this attempt failed, the ship was towed to the anchorage area of Büyükdere, Sarıye, where it was moored in pos. 41° 10' N 029° 03' E at around 3 a.m. UTC. The 'Razouk', which was struck off Cide, Kastamonu, by a drone on Jan 22, then ran aground off Kısırkaya, Sarıyer, with its captain hospitalized after falling ill. On Feb 8, the 'Razouk', which had run aground off Kısırkaya in Sarıyer, was finally refloated with the coordination of salvage specialists, being pulled by the tugs 'Kurtarma 1' (IMO: 9463176), 'Kurtarma 6' (IMO: 9598581) , 'Kurtarma 9' and 'Kurtarma 22' (IMO: 1066958), and assisted by the lifeboats 'Kiyem 3' (MMSI: 271042657) and 'Kiyi Emniety 9' (MMSI: 271010037), as well as the pilot boat 'Bayrak 1' (MMSI: 271043763). The salvage operation was accompanied by a shore based rescue team. The General Directorate of Shipyards and Coastal Structures also collaborated and provided support during the operation. Two divers from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety conducted dives around the 'Razouk' on Feb 5. The General Directorate of Coastal Safety and the Coast Guard Command teams were continuing their work in the region for the fourth day. It has been learned that rescue efforts were being carried out with a dredging vessel and an emergency response excavator. The ship's engine was seen running during the operations. On Feb 3 the 'Razouk' requested the medical evacuation of the captain from the ship, which remained aground at Türkeli Demir Sahası’. Coastal Safety deployed a rescue team to the shore, which successfully evacuated the captain using the traditional rope system. He was handed over to medical teams on the beach. On the evening of Feb 1, 2026, the 'Razouk', enroute from Constanta to the Bosphorus anchorage, ran aground in Kısırkaya, Sarıyer, in vicinity 41° 16' N 029° 01' E. Teams from the General Directorate of Coastal Security were dispatched to the area, following reports of the incident. No injuries or pollution have been reported so far. The ship did not submit a request for rescue assistance. Because no such request was made, responders were not able to intervene directly, but they have positioned themselves in the vicinity as a precautionary measure. The same ship, enroute to Russian ports, was attacked on the early morning on Jan 22 off the coast of the Cide district in Kastamonu. A large explosion occurred on the ship, which was targeted by an unidentified aircraft or missile, the source of which has not yet been confirmed by official authorities. Radar records indicated that the ship was progressing in a northeast direction at the time of the incident but changed its course immediately after the explosion due to an emergency maneuver. The intensity of the attack was clearly visible in the bridge. The windows were completely shattered due to the explosion, and the electronic equipment and chart tables inside were damaged by shrapnel. Images leaked from inside the ship also included fragments of the munitions that caused the attack. The presence of a metal fragment marked with the inscription 'X 430T,' resembling Cyrillic alphabet characters, strengthened the suspicion that the munitions used in the attack could be a missile or a kamikaze drone. Following the attack, a state of panic prevailed on the ship. Concerned for their safety, the crew pressured the captain to refuse to continue the mission. The crew's rebellion, stating that proceeding on the route to Russia would be suicidal, led the ship's captain to turn the course 180 degrees towards the Bosphorus Strait. The ship was fleeing at a speed of 11 knots towards the Sea of Marmara. The last inspection carried out in Romania in Dec 2025 ohad revealed 41 deficiencies, and the ship was detained for 14 days.
