Russian trawler intercepted due to suspected fishing crime
The "Achinsk" was boarded by a crew from the Coast Guard vessel "Sortland" from Hjelmsøy due to a suspected fishing crime. The crew was suspected of dumping of fish according to Kenneth Dyb , Lieutenant Commander and Commanding Officer aboard the "Sortland". The Russian trawler was intercepted and escorted to Hammerfest on Mar 11, 2014. The western Finnmark Police fined the master with 30,000 Norwegian crowns. He was summoned to court on May 13.
