On Sep 26, 2019, around 4 a.m. a fire broke out in the superstructure of the 'Volgo Balt 205' (IMO: 8230338) near Tolyatti city on the Volga river. The ship with a argo of 300 tons of steel constructions was en route from St. Petersburg to Astrakhan. The fire quickly engulfed the whole accomodation block, and the crew of 12 abandoned the ship which got assistance by tugs.
