The 'Thanh Thanh Dat 99' with 19 crew members on board broke down en route from Thinh Long port (Ninh Binh) to Nghi Son port (Thanh Hoa) to load cargo, when entering the anchorage area on Aug 25, 2025, at 11.30 p.m., about two miles off the coast.
