The 'Sormovskiy 3066' had been stuck in the ice for eight days since Oct 19, 2021 two kilometers from the village of Yuryung-Khaya in position 72 49 18.0 N, 113 11 35.4 E, on the River Anabar, Yakutia,. Due to the formation of the ice fields, the vessel was prevented from heading for its winter holding site. On Oct 20, the deputy head of the search and rescue department of the Regional Rescue Service flew to the scene to coordinate actions and ensure the safety of the crew during the evacuation of the vessel. The operational headquarters at the scene developed a plan to rescue the vessel and the crew. As a result, the rescuers conducted reconnaissance on an air cushion vessel to determine the evacuation route to the vessel settling point for the winter period. As a result, a large amount of work was carried out to free the vessel, and on Oct 26, the 'Sormovskiy 3066' safely proceeded to the nearby vessel holding site for wintering.
