Freighter hit by drifting barge
The "M. Andreev" was hit by a drifting unnamed barge which had broken away from a tug in the Kerch Strait, near the port of Kavkaz on Sep 25, 2018. The barge allided with the port bow of the anchored vessel in the morning. The freighter sustained superficial damages to the paint work on its port bow.
Three ships slightly damaged in allision.
On Apr 18, 2017, the "M. Andreev" suffered steering failure at 03.30 a.m. while transiting Anchorage 1 at Azov Port. The vessel which was loaded with wheat slammed into the portside bow of the anchored "Aleksandr Lebed"(IMO: 8866826) and bulbous nose of the berthed "Rusich 2" (IMO: 9317016). All three vessels suffered slight damages. The "M. Andreev" was moored on Anchorage 1.
