Cargo ship holed in ice
The "Letniy Bereg" was taken in tow by the icebreaker "Kapitan Chaadayev" in ice on Jan 21, 2013, in the Dvinskiy Bay, after the master reported water ingress in the engine room, odin.tc reports. The reason of the leakage was unreported, but maybe due to ice holing. The vessel with 2220 tons of timber on board was en route from Arkhangel to Gull. The master decided to return to Arkhangel for repairs where the ship arrived at the repair yard Krasnaya Kuznitsa and was docked in the evening of Jan 21.
