Cargo shifted during turning manoever in Rostock
On Dec 13 afternoon the "Karine W" developed a list on the Breitling off Rostock. The ship had loaded two machines at Caterpillar. When the ship turned around after leaving the berth, the cargo shifted and it tilted 25-30 degrees. A tug was called to assist, and the ship was brought on even keel by taking on ballast water once the ship was back at the quay. A crane lifted the machines back into a proper position. After they were surveyed regarding possible damage, the ship resumed its voyage to the Peters Yard in Wewelsfleth in the afternoon of Dec 14, while an investigation into the incident was launched. The ship docked in Wewelsfleth on Dec 16.
