Engine failure on St. Lawrence River
The 'RD Express' suffered a failure of one of its engines in position 46 51 00 N, 071 01 31 W, while transiting the St. Lawrence River off Saint-Laurent-de-l'Ile-d'Orleans, Quebec, on March 18, 2022. The vessel was able to proceed to Quebec port, where the crew effected repairs. As of March 23, the ship was underway to Santo Domingo with an ETA as of April 2.
