The portside bow of the 'Lima Valerie' was badly damaged, when it allided with a dock in PT Simba pier, while its stern also came in contact with an anchored barge. The authorities of PT Simba were yet to calculate the damage done to the structure, but they estimated that the losses could amount to approximately $35,517. The owner of the vessel has already coordinated with the relevant authorities. An investigation was ongoing.

The 'Lima Valerie' suffered a power failure, lost control and as a result allided with a a dock and a barge in the waters of Wajok Hilir Village, Siantan District, Mempawah Regency, in the morning of Dec 16, 2020. The ship was passing the PT Simba pier with a cargo of containers enroute from Singapore to Pontianak City, when the incident occurred at around 05.00 a.m. at km 12,7. Suddenly the ship turned towards the pier and immediately hit the dock and the barge berthed at the left side of the pier which was badly damaged. One person suffered bruises. The bow of the 'Lima Valerie' was damaged too. Officers of the Polres Mempawah Satpol Airud were conducting an inspection at the scene of the incident.
