Trawler close to being repaired

Dec 01, 2018 20:48

In the last week of November, employees at Ørskov Yard succeeded in starting the main engine of the "Hardhaus" which had suffered serious damage mid of August when the floating dock in Hirtshals capsized. The trawler was caught in the partially flooded floating dock, and large amounts of water penetrated the trawler's engine room. The water caused major damage to the engine room, and subsequently it was not possible to reboot the main engine. One month after the accident, the "Hardhaus" was towed to the Ørskov Yard in Frederikshavn, where extensive repairs started. After restarting the main engine, only a few things remained to be done before the trawler can be returned to the owners. The ship sailed on Dec 16 at 9 p.m. and headed to Haugesund, ETA Dec 17, 7 p.m. https://www.facebook.com/mshardhaus/videos/312029639403866/
