Yxlan

A police investigation was launched after the collision between the "Yxlan" and the Swedish patrol boat "Carlskrona - P 04", 3150 ts, on May 6, 2016. The ferry was hit by the "Carlskrona" off Stumholmen around 11 a.m. on its way to Aspö and had several passengers on board. Despite the clash the ferry continued to Aspö and picked up new passengers. When the ferry returned to Trossö at lunchtime an ambulance came to pick up two passengers who were slightly injured in the collision. The landing ramp has got a hit, but there was no major damage and the ship was operational again in the afternoon around 4 p.m. after repairs. The "Carlskrona" suffered damage at the stern above the water line. She continued out to sea after the collision. Police went on board both ships to investigate the damage, taking breath samples and interrogate the crews. The master and the ferry personnel of the "Aspö 1" were routinely taken out of service after the accident.
