Ferry broke down in Marmara Sea
The 'Yener C.' while enroute from Avşa to Istanbul, broke down in the middle of the Marmara Sea in the night of Aug 4, 2020, with hundreds of passengers. The ferry in was towed to the shore. The ferry was berthed at Zeytinburnu with the help of a tug of the Turkish Coastguard. The ferry had departed from Avsa at 4 p.m. The cruise time, which normally takes about six hours, was extended to 10 hours of travel.
