The emergency services were deployed on the early morning of Oct 30, 2024, to rescue an injured person from the 'Noordland - Yee 118' in Neeltje Jans. He was trapped between a mooring post and the ship when berthing in the port. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening. The vessel was moored at a quay at the Fael Way in Vrouwenpolder. The ambulance service was alerted around 5:45 a.m., and ten minutes later the Kamperland fire brigade and the police were also called in for assistance. The victim had fractured his elbow and sustained a serious wound, He was taken off the ship one hour after the alert in a sitting position using the loading ramp of a truck and the on-board crane.
