Five crew members tested positive for coronavirus
The 20 crew members of the 'Yasmine of the Sea', the yacht of the Prince of Qatar, was confined to the ship after five crew members were tested positive for COVID 19. The other crew members were to be transferred to apartments but they were still in the Club de Mar marina in Palma de Mallorca and awaiting PCR tests to find out if they were carriers of the virus after spending weeks with five people who tested positive for Covid-19. The 'Yasmine of the Sea' sailed between July and August through the Mediterranean, with several members of the royal family on board. Among the ports of call were Porto Chievo (Sardinia), a population with a high incidence of coronavirus. It was denounced that both the captain of the ship and several members of the royal family did not respect the confinement in the Italian port. They lived a normal life by going ashore and visiting crowded places such as golf courses or swimming pools. The Qatari royal family remained on the ship until Sep 5. 2020. On that day they disembarked in Valencia and the ship arrived in Palma on Sep 6. While the Qatari royalty had remained on the yacht, the crew member was already showing symptoms of contagion by Covid-19. The five positives were transferred to the Palma Bay hotel on Sep 10, where the Ministry of Health houses the positive cases of coronavirus. It has been medicalized to accommodate people who must quarantine and do not have their own home, especially tourists and foreign visitors.
