Engine failure off Şarköy
Ob Feb 17, 2026, the 'Yangze Venus' suffered an engine failure off the coast of Şarköy, 17 miles from Gelibolu, en route from Kandla via Çanakkale Karabiga to Monfalcone. The ship was taken in tow by the tug ' Kurtarma 19' (IMO: 9995129) and safely moored at the Karabiga Anchorage in pos. 40° 30' N 027° 06' E, under the coordination of the Çanakkale Ship Traffic Services Center.
