The Indian Navy warship "INS Investigator" disabled a pirate dhow that was attempting to board the "Naftocement 18" on its way from Port Said to Manila, ETA Dec 23,2 2010, in the Gulf of Aden on Dec 8. The survey ship intercepted and disabled the dhow that was carrying 31 personnel with what the Navy has described as ‘piracy triggers’. Investigations revealed six skiffs with six Out Board Motors, 1 AK-47 with magazine and ammunition box, gas cylinders, fuel and fresh water drums on board the dhow. All equipment was rendered unavailable and the dhow disabled.
