Volzhskiy-47

The "Volzhskiy 47" was in collision with the St. Kitts-Nevis-flagged cargo m/v "Volga 4051" (IMO: 8720228), at 01.55 a.m. in the Taganrog Bay seven cables off the entrance buoy of Yeysk entrance fairway in the Azov Sea. The "Volga 4051" was maneuvering to approach the port, carrying 5,400 tons of coal from Istanbul, when she struck the outbound "Volzhskiy 47", which was headed from Yeisk to Trabzon, amidships at port side. The vessel was enroute Eisk – Chistopol with a cargo of grain. Around 6 p.m. the vessel was refloated with the help of the tug "OT-2461", no damages or spill reported.
