Voltaire

The “Voltaire” broke loose from its moorings and sustained damage when Typhoon Mufia made landfall in Nantong on Sep 15, 2022. The storm made landfall in China four times, finally in the Fengxian district. The "Voltaire" was damaged when the eye of the storm passed directly through the COSCO Shipyard in Nantong in the early hours of Sep 15. The incident caused no injuries to the personnel. After the storm had subsided, the vessel was moored back safely at the yard. First sight assessments showed the vessel suffered limited damage in the helideck and certain parts of the crane. More detailed assessments are underway.
