Steering issue off Teesport
The 'Vohburg', enroute from the Tees anchorage to Teesport with a crew of 13 on board, suffered a steering defect in position 54 37 36 N, 01 09 28.8 W on the River Tees on Dec 1, 2019, at 12.25 a.m. The vessel turned the opposite way to the direction steered. A tug assisted the vessel from the anchorage to an anchorage where an electrical fault was discovered. The ship berthed in Teesport at 1.40 a.m. and sailed again on Dec 2 at 6.25 a.m., bound to Rotterdam with an ETA as of 9 p.m. the same day.
