Collision on the Spui
On the Spui between Oud-Beijerland and Rhoon the "Vlissingen“, 9264 ts (EU-No.: 02325911;), was in collision with the 19-m-ferry boat “Otter” (EU-No.: 02333785) on Jan 23 at 6.30 p.m. There were no passengers aboard the “Otter” which was underway to Rhoon at the time of the accident. The “Vlissingen” with a cargo of 8500 tons continued the voyage from Antwerp, where she had sailed at 10 a.m., to the Vopak Europoort Terminal in the port of Rotterdam after the investigations of the police were completed. A fire boat which was alerted too did not have to intervene.
