Collision in Gulf of Finland
The 'Glyfada' (IMO: 9714733), en route from St. Petersburg to Ust-Luga, was in collision with the 'Aeolian Fortune', en route from GÃjon to Ust-Luga in the Gulf of Finland on the morning of Feb 7, 2026. The ships were sailing in the same direction and collided at a tangent. No one was injured in the incident, and no damage was caused to the environment. The Northwestern Transport Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into the incident, which did not affect the movement of other vessel. The damage was being assessed. The 'Aeolian Fortune' berthed in the ports of destination on Feb 9, and the 'Glyfada' berthed in Vistino the same day. While the accident site was outside Finland's area of ​​responsibility, the Finnish side intended to investigate the circumstances of the incident too.
