On July 8, 2010, the "Quo Vadis" required assistance of the rescue boat "Ægir" after having encountered propulsion trouble. First he contacted the "Peter Henry von Koss" in Egersund but this was not available due to repairs. The "Ægir" which was in Farsund reached the casualty within two hours at 11 p.m. She took the "Quo Vadis" in tow towards Egersund which was 30 miles north. After the repair of the "Peter Henry von Koss" was completed, it joined the tow and helped to berth the vessel at the quay where divers started a survey of the propulsion of the "Quo Vadis".
