Vikentios-Damodos

The 'Vikentios Damodos' suffered a damage to its ramp during its arrival, at the port of Argostoli on July 6, 2023. At the time of the incident, the vessel was running on the Lixouri to Argostolion service. At Argostolion, the passengers were safely disembarked. The Kefallinian Port Authority initially prohibited the departure of the vessel, until the damage was repaired and a class maintenance certificate was issued by the classifier monitoring it at 11 a.m. UTC, the same day´.

The Port Authority of Kefalonia was informed by the master of the “Vikentios Damodos" in the evening of Aug 21, 2019, about a leakage of a cooling water pipe of the port side main engine. The ferry was operating a scheduled itinerary on the Lixouri-Argostoli Kefalonia route. The vessel sailed safely to the port of Lixouri, where it was detained by the Port Authority of Kefalonia, and after repairing the damage and presenting a seaworthiness certificate of the attending classification society, the vessel was allowed to continue its schedule.

Landing craft Vikentios Damodos (248 gt, built 2011), sustained mechanical damage after its departure from port of Argostoli, this morning. The vessel was able to proceed safely to the port of Lixouri, where the vessel was detained in port. Following repairs and issuance class maintenance certificate, Vikentios Damodos was permitted by the port authority to continue sailing according to its schedule.
