Shadow fleet tanker detained for months
The 'Vigo', which is part of the Russian shadow fleet, was detained by the Danish Maritime Authority off Skagen on April 22, 2025. There were faults in fire and safety equipment, charts were not up to date, there were technical faults in equipment and toilets, and a lot of other serious faults on board. The crew of the 'Vigo' was on board for four months before the ship was again allowed to sail on Aug 5. It remained stationary at its anchorage in pos. 57° 46' N 009° 38' E as of Aug 22.
