Approach off Togo
The 'Vemahonesty' while conducting a ship-to-ship cargo transfer near the Lome anchorage, Togo, was approached by a blue fishing vessel with eight people on board which came alongside twice on Feb 15, 2020, around 1 a.m. In the second incident, two wooden fishing vessels, with a total of 21 people on board, came alongside and remained there for approximately 29 minutes. No weapons or boarding equipment were seen on the fishing vessels and nothing was reported stolen from the 'Vemahonesty'.
Crew and tanker abandoned by owner
The "Ganga" was being stranded on Lagos anchorage since Sep 17, 2016. On Nov 16 the crew reported to the Ukrainian Trade Union payment debts. The tanker seems to have been abandoned by its owner.
