Collision in Bosphorus
On Oct 12, 2022, a fishing boat was in collision with the 'Vectis Isle' at the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus off the coast of Türkeli Feneri. Two tugboats and a lifeboat were deployed by the General Directorate of Coastal Safety to the scene. No one was injured in the incident, but damage occurred, and the cargo ship was anchored off Rumeli Feneri. On Oct 14 the vessel berthed in Poti. Collision in Istanbul Strait
The 'Vectis Isle' was in collision with the f/v 'Masallah' late on March 25, 2022,a at 2.50 a.m. en route from Burgas to Rhodes, about five nautical miles north of Kumköy, at the entrance of the Istanbul Strait off the Türkeli Lighthouse. Both ships were damaged, the 'Vectis Isle' at port side near the wheelhouse, the fishing vessel at the bow. The Istanbul Ship Traffic Services Center deployed the tugs 'Kurtarma 11' and 'Mehmetcik' as well as the lifeboat 'Kıyı Emniyeti 7' to the scene, and the cargo ship was safely moored in the Türkeli Anchor Zone.
