Master broke his leg and was medevaced in storm

The master of the 'Neverland Dream' broke his leg on Nov 1, 2019, while working on deck, and was medevaced in the afternoon of Nov 2. The man in his 50s had been swept off his legs by a wave and was thrown against a metal structure when the tanker rolling in the storm Amélie. The ship was enroute from Corpus Chrsti to Rotterdam when the accident happened west of Brest. The MRCC of the CROSS Corsen sent and a Caïman helicopter and a Falcon 50 aircraft. The master was hoisted 130 miles east of Lanveocat at 3.30 p.m. in challenging weather conditions with winds of 32 knots and a swell of 6-9 meters and transferred to the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest for treatment where he was delivered at 4.30 p.m. French reports with photos: https://www.20minutes.fr/faits_divers/2642911-20191103-finistere-pleine-tempete-marin-blesse-apres-avoir-balaye-vague
