The "Austria§ was attacked by pirates in the Arabian Sea on Jan. 6, 2011, at 0700 a.m. LT. The vessel escaped capture. There were no injuries to the crew of 25 and only slight damage to the accommodation tower where a grenade struck but failed to explode during the 15-minute ordeal. The ship was en route to Thailand. The company's full range of anti-piracy measures were successfully implemented. The ship did proceed at full speed through the area and had barbed wire onboard.
